What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Substance Abuse Counselor - CSAC/CSAC Supervisee, LMHP position at MINKS YFS?
As a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor at M.I.N.K.S. Youth & Family Services, you play an integral role in the treatment coordination of Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) patients within the practice. You will partner with other providers to establish and maintain a therapeutic role in each patient’s substance use treatment plan. This individual will complete all relevant paperwork in a timely fashion as required by agency, regulatory bodies, and managed care organizations; this includes but is not limited to intake paperwork, psychosocial assessments, client mental health and substance use disorder treatment history, treatment plans, session notes, discharge and aftercare plans, collaborative forms and assessments, billing forms and insurance authorizations. The Certified Substance Abuse Counselor must be available for group 10 am- 3:30 pm Monday-Thursday, 3 additional hours are required to complete necessary daily notes, which would potential be the hours of 10 am-6:30 pm and off on Friday. THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION.
Requirements of the Certified Substance Abuse Counselor
- CSAC - Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (Required)
- One year experience working in the substance misuse treatment field.
- One year experience working in the mental health counseling field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience providing individuals and diverse populations.
- Excellent, verbal, written and computer skills; EMRs, MS Word, and MS Excel preferred.
- Ability to work with individuals and groups.
- Assist with the setup and facilitation of marketing events.
