What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Associate position at Minneapolis Radiation Oncology, P.A.?
Minneapolis Radiation Oncology has an opening for a new position in our Accounting/Finance Department. This is a full-time Accounting Associate position who will help with basic duties such as accounts payable, up to more complicated financial analysis tasks.
This position will start full-time in our Edina Business Office working 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, working closely with our Sr. Accounting Manager. Once fully trained after 3 to 6 months, this position will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule of 3-4 days on-site and 1-2 days remote.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accounts payable
- Month-end and year-end processing
- General Ledger maintenance
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, analytical reports and sales tax returns
- Bank reconciliations
- Possibly learn payroll as a back-up
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial laws, regulations and reporting standards and stay up-to-date with accounting best practices
- Duties may vary as this is a small accounting department and office
- Relevant work experience and/or education which demonstrates advanced knowledge of accounting principles, practices and regulations is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Experience with Accounting, Payroll or ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis and reporting.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Flexible with job duties.
