Human Resources Assistant

Minneapolis Radiation Oncology has an opening for a part-time Human Resources Assistant to support our Human Resources Manager with a variety of projects, interviews and clerical tasks. This is an entry-level position which will perform a variety of H.R. tasks and clerical duties such as filing, tracking and maintaining spreadsheets. Daytime hours, Monday through Friday, 15-25 hours per week, can be flexible for the right candidate.

Duties:

• Organizing electronic personnel files and accurately completing new hire, transfer and termination data changes on paper and in UKG HRIS
• Writing effective job ads and posting on a variety of websites and social media
• Screening resumes, conducting phone interviews, coordinating in-person interviews, performing background checks and making job offers
• Tracking invoices, credit card statements, spreadsheets and various billings to ensure costs are allocated correctly
• Future involvement could include benefits, compensation, job descriptions, employee relations and other H.R. or Payroll related duties

Requirements:

• Prior Human Resources, office or administrative support experience given first preference.
• Pursuing Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and technical aptitude to learn other online systems such as DynaFile and UKG HR systems.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to problem-solve and find efficient solutions independently, while working as part of a team, open-minded to learning new tasks
• Annual Influenza (flu) vaccination is required, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption

Pay and Benefits:

• Starting hourly pay will be based on experience in the $18-22 per hour range
• Full benefits package offered for employees working over 20 hours per week or .5 FTE status.
