School Nurse Full-Time (Starting with School Year 2025-2026)

LOCATION: Minnechaug Regional High School JOB TYPE: School Calendar Year, Full Time Position SALARY: Per the Unit A Contract JOB DESCRIPTION:Work cooperatively as a two-person dynamic nursing team to assume the responsibility to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the delivery of school health services. Specific responsibilities include: •Perform treatments/procedures, First Aid, and administer daily and prn medications according to MD orders/school and DPH policy/protocols/procedures •Maintain accurate up to date health records •Meet requirements of DPH/DESE health regulations for immunizations, health screenings, concussion protocol, communicable disease surveillance, and field trip planning and preparation •Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and other staff as part of an interdisciplinary approach to ensure student health and wellness in the school setting •Develop and revise individualized health care and emergency plans •Attend faculty and nurse staff meetings •Fall Sports Registration. Up to 20 hours summer work •All other responsibilities according to full school nurse job description
