Warehouse Lead

SUMMARY

The Warehouse Associate ensures the accurate, safe, and timely fulfillment of customer orders through various warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and customer interaction. This role enhances customer relationships and supports ongoing sales by maintaining high standards of efficiency, safety, and customer service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Greet customers in the warehouse or will-call area and handle requests, orders, or inquiries efficiently.
• Assist with incoming inquiries via warehouse phone or will-call.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other standard warehouse machinery.
• Receive, unload, move, and place all warehouse merchandise accurately and safely.
• Prepare, load, stack, stage, and secure merchandise for delivery accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in processing, recording, and creating packing slips, pick tickets, customer returns, etc., using a computer.
• Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, accessible, and safe for employees and customers.
• Participate in counting physical inventory.
• Ability to take over the UPS/Speedee and receiving responsibilities in full.
• Proficiently use SXe and Fleetmatics Work programs for inventory and logistics management..
• Support the onboarding and training of new warehouse employees.
• Operate a dock truck for loading and unloading merchandise when required.
• Comply with safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Work a regularly scheduled shift of M-F, 8am - 5pm.
• Participate in continuous learning and development through training initiatives such as MN Air University, HR programs, tech-support courses, and webinars.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Effective time management skills with the ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Proficiency in using computers and software applications.
• Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years of Customer Service experience
• One to three years of Warehouse experience.
• One to two years of Team Lead or supervisory experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record.
• Forklift Certification (can be obtained on the job).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• The work environment is moderately noisy, with typical sounds of forklift and loading dock operations.
