What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fulfillment Warehouse Lead position at Sheridan?
Job Summary:
Monitor the Veracore order fulfillment and warehouse management system. Lead the fulfillment warehouse team in maintaining all customer inventory, picking, packing, shipping & invoicing all orders received within 48 hours.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs all functions of Mail Order Fulfillment including Order taking, Shipping, Returns, and Inventory control.
- Responsible for daily warehouse organizing, scheduling, and order processing. Ensures order accuracy, and consistent productivity levels are achieved.
- Correct and Approve timecards.
- Manage vacation requests.
- Assist in the movement of both raw materials and finished goods within the facility and to the final destination point of the customer.
- Be the next level for customer service in the case when standard CSR's are unable to solve the issue
- Prepare tickets for customers and closes in a timely manner by adding freight charges, materials, and final shipped quantity.
- Quotes freight charges as requested by Customers and strives for the best possible rate obtained for the goods being shipped.
- Be the knowledge base and point of contact for all carriers (UPS,FedEx,Endica) as well as be the knowledge base for the warehousing software, Veracore.
- Be a point of contact for the production facility in reference to the sheeters and shipping and receiving.
- Review carrier performance and continually provide feedback to the General Manager regarding all vendors.
- Assist in tracing lost or delayed shipments, audit-received shipments, and initiate claims for damaged/missing goods.
- Prepare monthly billing reports
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- 1-3 years' experience in shipping & receiving.
- Computer skills
- Leadership skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Technical school or college education preferred.
- Knowledge in UPS shipping system
- Knowledge in tariffs, material handling classifications, routing & shipping methods
- Knowledge of OSHA and MPCA regulations and requirements
Physical Requirements
- On call hours
- Moderate level of physical activity involved in walking, standing and lifting.
