United Prairie Bank is hiring a Chief Operating Officer in our Mankato location. This position is full-time, Monday – Friday, located in Mankato, MN.
Job Overview :
Reporting to the CEO / President, the Chief Operating Officer is the executive manager responsible for Retail Deposit and Bank Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, Training, and Information Technology.
This position provides leadership and direction to the functional supervisors who manage the teams responsible for the day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include assuring that the bank’s operational functions are operating efficiently, and that technology is being utilized to maximize efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess qualities necessary to oversee the total process.
A critical component of this role is to continuously ensure an exceptional customer service experience is delivered. This includes oversight of internal efficiencies by managing the electronic banking function; this includes cash management functions as well as mobile banking and ACH.
This position leads the strategic planning for the bank and is responsible for the implementation of bank objectives based on the strategic goals as established by the CEO and Board of Directors.

- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration / Finance or a related field required
- 15-20 years of related experience in a bank operating environment
- 10 years of senior management experience
