Job Summary
The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) is seeking an individual to join our Human Resources (HR) team. The position will perform HR generalist functions for Central Office and any of the other HR offices as needed. In addition, the position will provide administrative support for agency-wide functions as needed.
This position is telework-eligible and is occasionally required to be on site at any one of the Veterans Homes throughout the state of Minnesota as business needs require. This role will also have occasional travel throughout the state of Minnesota including possible overnight stays. In addition, this position will be required to come into the St. Paul office at least once every other month. Please note the telework policy could change in the future with notice.
As the HR Business Partner, you will perform Human Resources work and provide guidance and consultation in the areas of job classification, compensation, recruitment, transactions, staffing and selection for the Minnesota Veterans Central Office and Agency-wide Divisions, to ensure the requirements of all personnel statutes, collective bargaining agreements / plans, personnel rules and administrative procedures are met.
