We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team. The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting a wide range of human resources functions, including employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, and training. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR practices and be able to balance the needs of employees with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting initial interviews, and coordinating interviews with hiring managers.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they have all necessary resources and training to begin their roles successfully.
- Maintain accurate and updated records for recruitment and hiring activities.
2. Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related questions or concerns, promoting a positive work environment.
- Assist in resolving employee conflicts and facilitating performance improvement plans.
- Support in fostering employee engagement and retention strategies.
3. Performance Management:
- Support managers with performance appraisal processes and provide guidance on goal setting and professional development.
- Assist with the implementation and tracking of performance reviews, employee recognition programs, and coaching initiatives.
4. Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Answer employee inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, and enrollment processes.
- Assist with open enrollment periods and benefits education.
5. Compliance & Recordkeeping:
- Ensure company policies and procedures comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist in maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Support in audits, reporting, and filing requirements for compliance purposes.
6. Training & Development:
- Coordinate and assist in the delivery of employee training and development programs.
- Identify employee skill gaps and help implement training solutions to support individual and organizational growth.
7. HR Projects & Initiatives:
- Support HR team in special projects and initiatives, such as culture building and employee wellness campaigns.
- Participate in developing and maintaining HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in human resources, ideally in a generalist capacity.
- Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, etc.).
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
- Experience with benefits administration or employee relations.
