This position serves our partners at Minnesota's largest state agency, the Department of Human Services (DHS). The MNIT DHS team supports complex and varied technical needs, including systems that provide health care coverage, deliver child protection and welfare services, and provide support for Minnesotans with special needs including mental illness, chemical dependencies, and physical or developmental disabilities.
Job Summary
As a Senior Database Administrator, you will provide technical leadership in defining, establishing, and supporting the infrastructure for the Mainframe Systems Development Division (MSDD) Applications needs. This is a broad area of responsibility covering multiple platforms and serving a broad variety of users. You will provide technical expertise and advanced knowledge surrounding the technical infrastructure, architecture, and security of the systems that the division supports, the networks and platforms that those systems reside in, the databases of those systems, the database and application servers that host those systems, and how those systems interface with each other, and is called on to assist with crisis management.

Minimum Qualifications

Position requires a minimum of five (5) years of IT related experience in database design and management.
Experience must include :
A master's degree in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR an IT related bachelor's degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR an IT related associate's degree substitutes for one (1) year.
