The City of Detroit Lakes is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Detroit Lakes Police Department. The Police Department’s Administrative Assistant performs a variety of clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping and administrative work keeping official records, providing customer service, data processing, providing administrative support to the police command staff, and assisting in the administration of the standard operating policies and procedures of the police department.
Primary duties include assisting the public by phone, or in-person, overseeing all data for the records management system, conducting background checks, compiling data for payroll, and maintaining the department’s personnel records. We believe strongly in teamwork and employees will be called upon to perform a variety of duties as part of their role with the City of Detroit Lakes.
The hourly range is $25.96 to $34.01 (starting hourly range will be between $25.96-$29.71).
