The Hudson Fire Department is a combination department with three full-time day staff and 40 paid on-call firefighters. It serves approximately 49 square miles with a population of 33,000. This position supports Community Risk Reduction through fire inspections and enforcement of local, state, and national fire codes. Reporting to the Fire Chief or Deputy Fire Marshal, the Fire Inspector will conduct fire inspections and respond to service calls. The department handles nearly 1,200 initial fire inspections annually, along with numerous acceptance and construction inspections. A completed City of Hudson application must be included along with any other supporting documents when applying. Please complete all parts of the application.
