The City of Corcoran is seeking a community-focused and team-oriented individual to assist the Public Works Department. Reporting to the Public Works Director, the Engineering/Development Superintendent coordinates various aspects of project development and construction activities for the city to include public improvement projects, private development review, permits, utilities, and right-of-way management. Ensures conformance with city specifications, ordinances, and applicable state and federal laws. Collaborates with other city departments, outside agencies, developers, consultants, contractors, and community members in the implementation of city projects. Successful candidates will exhibit thorough knowledge of engineering and survey practices, maps and records, and equipment and techniques of drafting. Candidates should be able to communicate concisely, both written and orally, be able to analyze and resolve problems, be able to effectively work with and provide direction to consultants, developers, and contractors.
