We are a healthcare nonprofit with an educational mission. We are looking for an experienced, innovative, and motivated Graphic Designer & Communications Manager to join our team. This person will oversee communication projects and the creation of print and digital communications, ensuring the organization’s visual identity is consistent. A key aspect of this role involves writing, editing, and proofreading content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with our brand's voice.
Position Overview :
The Graphic Designer & Communications Manager will be responsible for developing a wide range of visual and written content for both print and digital platforms. This includes designing marketing materials, event collateral, social media content, and web banners. The ideal candidate will be a creative and organized professional with strong graphic design skills, exceptional writing and editing capabilities, and a passion for maintaining brand integrity across all channels. This position requires expertise in writing and editing to produce high-quality, polished communications that effectively convey our mission and message.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design & Production :
- Design print and digital marketing materials, including brochures, eblasts, flyers, social media graphics, reports, presentations, event signage, and annual publications.
- Maintain consistency in visual identity and branding across all communication platforms (print, digital, and social media).
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging materials that align with our mission and campaign objectives.
- Writing, Proofreading & Editing :
- Write and edit clear, concise, and engaging copy for various communication materials, including marketing materials, blog posts, social media content, and internal communications.
- Proofread and edit all design work to ensure accuracy, proper grammar, and consistency in tone and style.
- Review pre-press materials and other content for final approval, ensuring they meet production standards and align with brand voice.
- Project Management :
- Manage and prioritize multiple design and copy projects, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld.
- Collaborate with other team members to brainstorm and execute campaigns and projects from concept to completion.
- Branding & Visual Identity :
- Lead the development and maintenance of the organization’s visual identity, including logo, color palette, typography, style guides, and other branding elements.
- Ensure that all content adheres to brand standards and effectively communicates the organization’s mission.

Salary commensurate with experience, plus a competitive benefits package. Starting range : $55,000 - $70,000, depending on experience.
