As a Print Room Operator, you will be responsible for the dissemination of public assistance benefits, Child Support, MNCARE, MAXIS, MMIS and various documents for a number of other State Agencies at the Issuance Operation Center (IOC). The incumbent must ensure the accurate and timely preparation of these benefits and document by performing a variety of processing functions. This position requires the incumbent to have basic knowledge of the operation of mainframe high-speed automated printers, BlueCrest insertion machines and various mailing equipment. This position is responsible for printing various warrants, card stock, and difficult jobs that require special handling.

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
- Lead Operator for printers and monitors the work performed by executing all duties associated with accepting and logging documents to print.
- Report malfunction in printers, server or other technical equipment for prompt resolution.
- Access and perform function on mainframe and Ricoh print servers.
- Setting up, operating, diagnosing malfunctions and troubleshooting problems in the high-speed inserting machines.
- Miscellaneous projects and other duties as assigned.
- To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month, day and year for each job held.**
- Mechanical aptitude (i.e. experience working with printers, inserters, sorters, or similar equipment).
- Computer skills sufficient to send/receive correspondence and maintain records and reports.
- Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.
- Knowledge and understanding of work and operations performed at the IOC.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of paper stock, envelopes, inserts, batch identification, etc.
- Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
This is a very physical position requiring extensive standing, bending, turning and lifting for much of the workday. The selected employee must have the ability to:
- Transport up to 70 pounds.
- The ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of shift.
- Climb, bend, reach, carry, and push/pull.
- Operate electric and manual pallet jacks, mailing machines, and other equipment necessary to perform job functions.
