What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Laboratory Manager Senior position at Minnesota Department of Transportation?
The Minnesota Department of Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Materials Laboratory Manager Senior to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership in the development and implementation of materials testing and quality control processes that meet MnDOT standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership to the District Materials Laboratory so that materials' testing is in conformance with applicable standards, methods, and specifications and within established time frames
- Review and approval of pavement and materials designs and recommendations during project development, final design, and construction
- Plan quality control, from a materials aspect, throughout the plan development process
Requirements:
- Licensure as a professional Civil Engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID)
- Three (3) years of post-registration engineering experience at the Engineer Senior level (or equivalent) demonstrating knowledge of the following: materials engineering, roadway and pavement design, pavement and grading materials, pavement rehabilitation strategies, life cycle cost analysis, soil properties and characteristics associated with their use of highway engineering construction
