Project Manager Civil Engineer
The Metropolitan District seeks a Project Manager Civil Engineer to oversee projects and tasks ranging from Minor Projects to Moderate Projects.
This position involves managing project quality, leading a project management team, and ensuring the completion of products or tasks. It also entails managing communications, including internal and external ones, identifying and mitigating risks, and coordinating with the project team.
Key responsibilities include scope management, dispute resolution, and financial management. The successful candidate will be responsible for multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements
Engineer Senior:
- Licensure as a professional Civil Engineer in Minnesota or eligibility through Comity (Reciprocity).
- Knowledge of transportation system planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operation principles and practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
- Familiarity with MnDOT standards, federal, state, and local laws, regulations, policies, and codes.
Engineer 2 Graduate:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university and two years of post-graduation civil engineering work.
OR
AND
- Passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
Shared Requirements:
- Human Relations skills demonstrating the ability to work cooperatively with the public, businesses, elected officials, and other organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
