About the Role :
As the Director of Finance at Minnesota Freedom Fund (MFF), you’ll be a crucial player in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our organization. Working closely with our Executive Director, you’ll oversee all aspects of financial management, from accounting and budgeting to financial planning and reporting. You’ll collaborate with the Board Finance Committee and Board Treasurer to provide essential financial updates, helping guide the organization’s strategic financial decisions.

The Minnesota Freedom Fund is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for social justice and supporting individuals who are unable to afford bail or immigration bonds. Our focus lies in addressing issues related to pre-trial justice and immigration detention, aiming to combat discrimination and oppression within the criminal justice system. By providing financial assistance to those in need, the organization works towards creating a society that values the freedom and rights of all individuals, regardless of their socioeconomic status or identity.

The Director of Finance position is a full-time position that is expected to work 40 hours per week. This is a non-union position with a salary range of $100,000 - $115,000.
We understand how vital our work is and at the same time understand the toll engaged activism can take. Our goal is to retain staff, and we believe that having a robust benefits offering is vital in meeting that goal.
