Job Description:
Primary responsibilities will be to serve as the Assistant Football Coach (Defensive Assistant) at Minnesota State University Mankato, which is part of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (NSIC). Additional responsibilities include assisting the head coach with recruiting and coaching. This position also works with minors for camps or special programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree (conferred on an official transcript at the time of application).
- Commitment to a responsibility of adhering to all policies, rules and regulations of Minnesota State University, Mankato, NSIC and NCAA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
- Experience coaching defense at the intercollegiate level.
Established recruiting networks in the upper Midwest.
Experience recruiting highly talented intercollegiate football players in a challenging academic environment.
Strong communication & organizational skills to help manage a large roster.
Demonstrated ability to lead and effectively teach student-athletes.
Other Requirements:
Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.
