Job Description
The Laboratory Coordinator for the College of Science, Engineering & Technology's Biological Sciences Department is responsible for the supervision, direction, mentoring and training of graduate level Teaching Assistants assigned to teach a variety of Biological Sciences laboratory sections. The Coordinator will also recommend and assist with the creation and / or update of laboratory exercises and student requirements. Oversight, management and maintenance of the laboratory classrooms, including supplies (including culture media and bacterial cultures) and equipment, is also required. In addition, the Coordinator will teach laboratory sections and provide advice and counsel to the respective students within those course sections.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree or higher in Biological Sciences, Microbiology, or a sub-discipline of Biology. (conferred on an official transcript at the time of application.)
- Minimum one (1) year experience, which may include related graduate / teaching assistantship.
- Teaching undergraduate Biological Sciences and / or microbiology labs at a College or University.
