Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve issues for audio/visual systems throughout TCO Performance Center, TCO Stadium, and the Vikings Museum
- Set up and maintain equipment such as microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors and video conferencing equipment
- Provide technical support and coordinate production for virtual and in person events on/off site
- Work with department Directors and outside vendors to design and implement new technology within TCO Performance Center
- Provide end user support on hardware, software, and related computer support requests
- Install, configure, upgrade and deploy personal computer hardware and software, as well as printers, copiers, smart phones, tablets, cabling, and other related equipment
- Must be able to operate the digital signage system and make necessary changes to ensure that the proper content is being distributed over the proper IP television channels.
- Provide training and instruction to users
- At least two years of equivalent applicable work experience in a business environment
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of audio/visual equipment, including audio visual control systems, Audio DSPs, amplifiers, microphones, mixers/speakers, video displays, and projectors
- Experience with AV control systems like Crestron, Extron, or AMX
- Demonstrate functional understanding of IT concepts like unicast/multicast traffic, subnets, VLANs and routing
- Expertise in networking and IP-based AV solutions
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts and practices within systems administration, network administration and desktop end-user support
- Knowledge of hardware, software, and voice and data communication systems
- Must be able to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues with audio/visual systems quickly and effectively
- Strong understanding of acoustics and sound system design
- Excellent listening, communication and customer service skills and the ability to execute in a fast paced and high-pressure environment
- Able to work independently and contribute to the organizational goals
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime as needed, including nights, weekends and holidays (September-January 10:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. preference)
- IT/AV Degree preferred
- Certifications such as CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or CTS-D (Certified Technology Specialist - Design) a plus
