Job Summary
We are currently seeking part-time Maintenance Helpers to join our exceptional team. This position works hands on to perform all work related to grounds keeping and landscaping, including mowing, trimming and fertilizing. This position also assists Maintenance Engineers with the maintenance of all buildings, vehicles, and guest use recreational equipment. In addition, this position assists with the execution of group activities, providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in all areas of grounds keeping and landscaping including mowing, trimming, fertilizing, snow removal and trail maintenance
- Planting and maintenance of all flower beds and flowers throughout the property
- Assist Maintenance Engineers in providing basic service and troubleshooting with items related to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and IT
- Assist Maintenance Engineers in service of all vehicles, turf equipment, boats, snowmobiles, golf carts, pools and bowling lane
- Cut firewood for fireplaces and bonfires
- Provide assistance setting up ongoing group activities including golf, fishing, boating, snow recreation, indoor and outdoor swimming, and trail maintenance
- Assist with set-up of conference room for group meetings including AV equipment
- Transportation of guests to and from local airports
- Transportation of guests via boat to and from Island Retreat
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge and experience with grounds keeping and landscaping and general facility maintenance
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, equipment service and repair, HVAC and electrical principals preferred, but not required
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
- Boaters Safety and Snowmobile Safety course certification required (provided by employer)
- Strong customer service orientation with outstanding communication and active listening skills
- Problem-solving and multitasking skills necessary
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed
- Strong sense of responsibility, high degree of integrity and a positive attitude
- Ability to lift at least 30 pounds
