Controller Job Summary
The Controller is the lead Finance professional responsible for banking and cash management, financial reporting, budgets, forecasts, corporate planning, analysis, risk management, compliance, audit and tax reporting.
As a member of Minnetronix’ leadership team reporting to the CFO, the Controller will help create, drive and execute business strategies. The Controller is a hands-on leader of a small, dynamic team of 4-6 employees; and is at the director level in the organization.

Controller Job Summary
The Controller is the lead Finance professional responsible for banking and cash management, financial reporting, budgets, forecasts, corporate planning, analysis, risk management, compliance, audit and tax reporting.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide Financial Management for the company, compliance, and risk management.
- Prepares financial statements (GL, Balance Sheet, cash flow) and track key performance indicators and metrics.
- Prepare weekly cash forecasts
- Prepare forecasts and annual plans for the company’s operating expenses and balance sheet accounts
- Ensures financial transactions and reporting are conducted in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles -GAAP
- Manages the external audit of the company
- Prepares annual reports for audited entities
- Establish and execute accounting policies, while ensuring appropriate reporting processes and tools are in place.
- Lead all day-to-day accounting and financial activities and staff including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury management
- Review financial information and identify areas for improvement while targeting strategic objectives.
- Oversee the financial efficiency of the operation and provides direction to all direct reports and/or other department teams.
- Review cash flow requirements for entity and maintain appropriate levels of cash to provide funding for the entities
- Manage banking operations in partnership with CFO including the maintenance of the line of credit, compliance and monthly bank reporting
- Manage and protect company assets.
- Provide continuous feedback to direct reports to ensure deadlines are met with high quality results
- Prepare various census surveys, insurance applications etc.
- Other duties as assigned
- BS Accounting/Finance/Business Administration required.
- CPA preferred, MBA highly desirable.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in progressively more responsible financial managerial roles.
- Knowledgeable in US GAAP and current financial reporting trends.
- Previous track record as a Controller of companies with revenues of $100 Million .
- Functional experience in A/R, A/P, Budget Preparation and Reporting.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth, technology/engineering-driven organization.
- Prior manufacturing experience or exposure to inventory/cost accounting required.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Strong business and common sense.
