Job Summary:
The Facilities Manager oversees the company's facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive work environment for all employees and visitors. This role involves leading the facilities team, overseeing daily operations, managing vendors, planning long-term strategies, and collaborating with internal teams on various initiatives. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilities Operations Management
• Oversee the facilities ticketing system, ensuring timely triaging, tracking, and resolution of issues. Analyze ticket metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Proactively identify and address facilities issues, including safety hazards, cosmetic concerns, and space inefficiencies.
• Coordinate and manage space reconfigurations and remodels, collaborating with stakeholders, overseeing contractors, and ensuring timelines and budgets are met with minimal disruption to operations.
• Partner with internal teams to support the installation of new equipment, ensuring all facilities requirements are met and operational needs are addressed.
• Oversee and ensure timely preventative maintenance for equipment like air compressors, humidifiers, and RTUs to maintain optimal performance and reliability.
• Monitor and control temperature and humidity levels in manufacturing areas to meet operational requirements.
Vendor and Inventory Management
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring services are scheduled, communicated clearly, completed on time, meet quality standards, and provide good value.
• Oversee the 3rd party cleaning team, ensuring adherence to detailed cleaning specifications and conducting regular quality checks.
• Manage the inventory of spare facilities supplies, such as chairs, desks, whiteboards, paint, bins, etc., maintaining accurate records and minimizing waste through careful planning and procurement.
Safety and Security
• Oversee physical security on campus, including external door security, security cameras, and night guard services.
• Ensure the functionality and regular inspections of fire protection systems, including sprinklers, fire alarms, and extinguishers, to maintain compliance and safety standards.
Collaboration and Engagement
• Actively engage with teams like the Safety Committee and Green Team to resolve facilities-related matters and support ongoing initiatives.
• Manage the ESD smock and cleanroom garment program, ensuring vendor reliability in service delivery, overseeing product condition and inventory, and ensuring sufficient quantities and timely return of garments.
• Manage availability of workstations, offices, and bookable hoteling stations.
• Maintain accurate facility maps for employee reference and Facilities maintenance tasks.
Financial Management
• Develop and manage the annual facilities budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
