**Job Overview**
Minnkota Power Cooperative is seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our power plant machinery.
The successful candidate will have an associate's degree in Mechanical Maintenance, machinist, welding, auto or diesel mechanic, or equivalent experience. You will be proficient in precision maintenance tasks, including overhauls, alignments, and documenting mechanical specifications.
Responsibilities include performing skilled activities in maintenance, overhaul, installation, and repairs of power plant machinery and related equipment. Typical equipment maintenance responsibilities include Westinghouse steam turbine frame 425 repairs, GE steam turbine frame D5 repairs, pumps, valves, piping, gear reducers, conveyors, fans, turbines, boilers, compressors, motors, and soot blowers.
You will work under the immediate supervision of the maintenance supervisor and as part of a composite crew with other maintenance classifications. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships are essential for success in this role.
