Job Summary
We are seeking friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team in the restaurant industry. Locations would include The Minocqua Yacht Club and Lakeside Grill. Both located in Minocqua. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements using the Aloha POS system or similar software.
- Assist guests with inquiries about menu options, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods and communicate wait times effectively to guests.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Provide assistance in managing guest services, including handling complaints or special requests.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality throughout the dining experience, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
- Keep the host/host area clean and well-stocked with menus, utensils, and other necessary items.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS or similar platforms is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a passion for providing exceptional hospitality experiences.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
