THE ROLE
Mint House is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support our Finance team by ensuring accurate and efficient accounts receivable (AR) processes. This role involves processing and applying cash, supporting AR reconciliations, and working closely with the Sales team to ensure group bookings are properly billed and collected. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, the ability to think critically, and a solid understanding of revenue operations.

THE ROLE
Mint House is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support our Finance team by ensuring accurate and efficient accounts receivable (AR) processes. This role involves processing and applying cash, supporting AR reconciliations, and working closely with the Sales team to ensure group bookings are properly billed and collected. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, the ability to think critically, and a solid understanding of revenue operations.
AT MINT HOUSE YOU WILL
- Support broader accounting team in performing accounts receivable reconciliations, ensuring accurate reporting and tracking of outstanding balances.
- Process cash applications, applying payments correctly to customer accounts and reservations.
- Oversee and manage billing operations by generating, reviewing, and issuing invoices for group bookings and other transactions.
- Collaborate cross functionally across the Sales and Operations teams, bridge any gaps between accounting and sales, ensuring accurate invoicing and revenue recognition.
- Monitor collectibles and outstanding invoices, following up to ensure timely payments.
- Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, collaborating with internal teams to improve accuracy.
- Maintain and update AR records and processes to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Support the Finance team with administrative and reporting tasks as needed.
- 3-5 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related finance role.
- Proficiency in cash application, AR reconciliations, and group bookings.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Accounting, and other teams.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a drive for process improvement.
