What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Operations Technician position at Minute Men Staffing?
We are growing and need a Field Operations Technician for our welding/erection team. Hours are Monday-Friday 7a-4p. Pay is $23-$28 per hour to start. Occasional overnight work ranging 2-5 days. You will be responsible for managing the various weekly assignments provided by project management. The coordination with general contractor's and company subcontractors to ensure quality work and schedules are met.
Responsibilities
- Tracking quantity of braces Maintenance of company vehicle used
- Utilize construction drawings and job erection sequence information to observe and report progress/issues on erection of jobs
- Banding of braces and loading onto flatbed trailers
- Jobsite visits/Jobsite meetings to track progress and take notes for Project Manager Yard Fixes that would require welding, cutting, etc.
- Schedule all pole brace pick-ups with project management. Field Fixes/Pulling Camber/Patching
- Coordination with subcontractors when needed other duties as assigned
General Requirements:
- Must have High School diploma or equivalent Certified Welder
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be dependable and available during off hours
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time, stand/walk occasionally-sometimes on uneven ground Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to perform tasks with repetitive use of hands, wrists and arms
Miscellaneous Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation. (Public transportation not available in this area).
- Must be able to pass pre-employment, as well as frequent, random drug screenings.
- Must be able to follow instructions; particularly those regarding safety.
- Must be able to work with a team.
- Forklift & Man lift certified
Job Safety Requirements
- PPE: Steel-toed boots
- Must be at least 6" in height (not "tennis shoe" type)
- Kept in good repair
