We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Digital Print/Production Specialist to join our team at Minuteman Press. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various printing machinery, including label printers, wide-format poster printers, envelope printers, and folder/stuffers. This role requires a strong commitment to quality control, ensuring that all products meet our high standards before they leave our office for the customer. Additionally, maintaining a clean and organized work area is essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Operate and maintain various printing machinery including but not limited to digital press(Xerox), label printers, wide-format poster printers, envelope printers, and folder/stuffers.
2. Ensure all printed materials meet quality standards and are produced on time.
3. Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies, notifying management of any shortages.
4. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety guidelines are followed.
5. Conduct regular inspections of finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
6. Collaborate with the customer service team to understand customer requirements and deadlines.
7. Assist in the training of new staff on the operation of printing machinery and quality control standards.
8. Proficient in Print software included but not limited to: Fiery, FreeFlow, Onyx, etc.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a print/production role, preferably within the printing industry.
2. Proficiency in operating various printing machinery.
3. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality control.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.
6. Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
7. High school diploma or equivalent. A degree or certification in a related field will be considered an advantage.
8. Must be physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds.
