Seeking candidates for a position as a Graphic Designer/ Print Production Specialist. This all-around position will be responsible for assisting the production team in producing our client’s print, promotional and design projects including, but not limited to, designing print production layouts, illustrations, and graphics, using Adobe Creative Suites, and bindery including cutting, folding, scoring, drilling, etc. You will be expected to monitor quality and ensure all outgoing orders meet the work order and artwork/proof specifications. Assisting with customer communication at the counter and through both the phone and emails. Strong communication skills and attention to details are a must.

Required Skills:
- Knowing Adobe Creative Cloud is a must (InDesign and Illustrator primarily).
- Basic math skills, with a good understanding of a ruler and fractions.
- Graphic Design degree or experience equal to or greater than 3 years, printing center experience is a plus, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Organizational and Multitasking Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational abilities, multitasking, and effective note taking. Attend daily production meetings, take detailed notes, and follow the daily production schedule.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail and consistently deliver high-quality print projects.
- Quality Control: Perform quality control checks by reviewing work orders, proofreading for errors, and ensuring all orders meet quality standards.
- Proof Creation: Prepare proofs for all jobs, including file setup, printing, and finishing. Carefully inspect pre-production proofs to verify adherence to work order specifications.
- Finishing Operations: Perform finishing tasks such as laminating, binding, mounting, and trimming as required.
- Inventory Reporting and Organization: Report stock requirements for projects and ensure the production area remains clean and well-organized.
- Critical Thinking: Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve challenges effectively.
- Independence and Goal Setting: Work independently, establish production goals, and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods (3 hours), lift 50 pounds, and perform repetitive motions.
- Punctuality and Readiness: Arrive on time and be prepared to work each day.

Having experience in a print shop environment is extremely helpful but not necessary, training will be offered on print production machines and processes, mailing services, finishing/bindery equipment, as well as proprietary pricing software.
!! If you have past experience in a print shop, PLEASE list your experience with print production machines, and your knowledge of said machines !!
