Job Overview
Public Safety Direct, Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Graphic Designer & Production Specialist to join our creative team. This is a hands-on role, not an office-based position. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in graphic design, artwork creation, and file preparation, with the ability to edit and format designs for various applications.
Our projects include custom vehicle graphics, apparel, signage, embroidery, and direct-to-film printing. While prior experience with vehicle wraps, lettering, embroidery machines, CO2 lasers, direct-to-print production, and direct-to-print film production is a plus, we provide hands-on training to teach you how to apply and create the actual materials.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with both digital design software and physical production tools to bring creative projects to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, produce, and apply vehicle wraps, lettering, and printed graphics for emergency and public safety vehicles.
- Operate and maintain embroidery machines to create custom apparel and branding materials.
- Utilize CO2 laser engravers to produce high-quality etchings on various materials.
- Manage direct-to-print and direct-to-film production processes.
- Develop marketing materials, including brochures, signage, and digital assets for web and social media.
- Ensure color accuracy and consistency across all designs for both print and digital media.
- Collaborate with internal teams to bring design concepts to life while adhering to brand guidelines.
- Prepare and optimize artwork for different printing methods to ensure high-quality output.
- Maintain organized files and documentation to facilitate smooth workflow and production.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is required.
- Experience with vehicle wrap design, lettering, and print production is highly preferred.
- Willingness to learn embroidery machine operation and CO2 laser engraving.
- Willingness to learn direct-to-print and direct-to-film production processes.
- Understanding of color management techniques for accurate reproduction.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with different teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
