We are seeking a skilled Bindery Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining bindery equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. Duties
- Operate various bindery machines, including cutters, folders, and stitchers, ensuring optimal performance and quality output.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on bindery equipment to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to quality standards.
- Implement color management techniques to achieve accurate color reproduction in printed materials.
- Utilize graphic design skills to assist in layout design and prepress preparation for print jobs.
- Fabricate and assemble printed materials according to specifications, ensuring precision in typography and layout design.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is highly desirable for effective design and layout tasks.
- Familiarity with machining processes and CNC operations is a plus.
- Previous experience in a printing or bindery environment is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong understanding of typography and color management principles will enhance the quality of work produced.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
