Key Responsibilities:
- Recording Financial Transactions
- Enter and update daily financial transactions in accounting software
- Maintain general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Accurately categorize expenses and income for financial tracking
- Bank Reconciliation
- Reconcile bank statements with accounting records
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in transactions
- Monitor and track cash flow to maintain accurate financial records
- Accounts Payable & Receivable Management
- Process and ensure timely payment of invoices to suppliers
- Issue invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding payments
- Maintain accurate records of vendor and client transactions
- Financial Reporting Support
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Generate balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports
- Provide financial summaries for accountants and management
- Software and Record-Keeping
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks
- Maintain both digital and physical financial records
- Ensure secure backup of financial data to prevent loss
- Liaising with External Parties
- Coordinate with accountants and tax professionals to ensure compliance
- Provide accurate financial data for audits and tax preparation
- Respond to financial inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, and financial record-keeping
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently
- Effective communication skills for liaising with external stakeholders
- $25-34/hour, depending on experience
