Job Overview
Miracle Hearts is looking for a Direct Support Professional to support residents by coordinating and managing the comprehensive care of the youth in the group home. This position ensures the implementation and monitoring of Individual Service Plans, coordinates health, educational, and social activities with external entities, and manages daily logistics such as medical appointments, meal planning, and housekeeping. Key responsibilities also include administering medications, addressing health and safety concerns, and assisting in resume development and the development of transition plans for residents to adulthood. The DSP is essential in maintaining compliance with regulations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and fostering a supportive environment that promotes the well-being and development of each resident.

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation and cooking.
- Support individuals in maintaining personal hygiene and cleanliness.
- Help clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs as required.
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure a safe living environment.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote community integration.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance quality of life.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in client condition.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Background in working with individuals with disabilities or hospitals as PCA care is a plus.
- Knowledge of medication administration is beneficial, but we will train
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Must be able to work collaboratively within a team setting.

Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 or 36 per week for full time employee
Schedule:
- 12-hour shift and 8-hour shift, and an opportunity for 4-hour shifts
- Day shift, Evening shift, Night shift
- Every other weekend rotation
