Miramont Country Club is seeking a certified, passionate, and experienced Pilates Instructor to join our premier fitness team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional instruction in a luxurious, member-focused environment—leading both group classes and private sessions. This role is key to supporting our members’ health and wellness goals through safe, effective, and personalized Pilates practices tailored to all fitness levels.
Responsibilities
- Conducts initial assessments and progressive Pilates training sessions, focusing on flexibility, core strength, aerobic conditioning, and overall body awareness.
- Instructs and monitors members during both private and group Pilates sessions, ensuring safe and effective use of equipment and proper technique.
- Design and lead engaging mat and/or reformer Pilates classes for all fitness levels.
- Provides personalized guidance and motivation to help members achieve their fitness and wellness goals.
- Educates members on injury prevention, recovery, posture alignment, and Pilates fundamentals.
- Assists members in the fitness center by demonstrating proper equipment use, answering questions, and offering general health and wellness information.
- Greets all fitness center users with a friendly and professional demeanor; answers phone calls and maintains administrative records, such as program cards and client files.
- Helps ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment by maintaining the tidiness of fitness spaces and cleaning equipment regularly.
- Monitors attendance and accurately processes billing for classes and training sessions.
- Collaborates with the Director of Fitness to support the development and enhancement of Pilates and wellness services within the department.
- Participates in all required staff training, continuing education, and regular team meetings; researches assigned topics and shares knowledge with fellow staff to promote a culture of learning.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Fitness in support of departmental goals and club standards.
Skills
- Appropriate certifications for fitness instruction.
- Certification in Pilates (mat and/or reformer) from a nationally recognized program.
- CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- 1 year of teaching experience preferred; country club or boutique studio experience a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, dependable, and passionate about health and wellness
- Ability to motivate and connect with members in a service-oriented environment
- Ability to design and implement safe and effective classes appropriate to the group.
- Working knowledge of human anatomy, kinesiology and training principles.
- Knowledge of group fitness teaching strategies and the incorporation of music, tempo, cueing technique and rhythm.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Great attitude and exceptional, highly polished communication skills.
