REPORTS TO: Team Project Accountant / Project Financial Controls Lead
POSITIONS SUPERVISED: None
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Minimal
WORK SCHEDULE: Day Shift
SALARY RANGE: $27-29/hour
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for various accounting functions in support of projects and project teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Conducts new project setup within company software by reviewing the new job worksheet, understanding the project structure, and creating necessary contracts for assigned projects.
- Inputs project budgets and material costs into company software.
- Creates, updates, and oversees Potential Change Item (PCI) and contingency logs.
- Approves and documents subcontractor pay requests and material invoices.
- Obtains and monitors all subcontractor payments, lien waivers, and sub-tier payments, and verifies that the information is accurate.
- Processes monthly client billings.
- Reconciles accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for on the project and assists in payment collection from the client.
- Closes project out by reconciling final values and distributing certificates and logs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, or any combination of education and professional experience that would meet the responsibilities listed above.
- Understanding of construction administrative work is preferred.
- Capable of working with a variety of people in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Able to multi-task, work efficiently both independently and collaboratively, and learn and adapt quickly while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Well-organized and dedicated problem-solver.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 365.
- Prior experience with accounting software is a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily an office environment with periodic visits to project sites.
