POSITIONS SUPERVISED: Quality Representatives
TRAVEL REQUIRED: 50%
WORK SCHEDULE: Day Shift
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) program before, during, and after project construction, ensuring the project meets quality specifications by training and supporting the quality team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversees the company’s QMS.
- Understands and implements the company’s QMS.
- Establishes and maintains the QMS for assigned projects. Ensures manuals, procedures, forms, and checklists are documented and implemented for the project, project team, and subcontractors.
- Maintains project site QMS audits and surveillance of subcontractor welding programs including review/approval of welder qualifications and procedures.
- Conducts quality audits and surveillance of subcontractors’ programs including qualifications and procedures.
- Develops and facilitates company Quality Assurance and Quality Control team members.
- Oversees and advocates for Quality Assurance and Quality Control team members. Develops and assists with implementation of career-pathing plans and conducts bi-monthly coaching sessions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quality Assurance, or any combination of education and professional experience that would meet the responsibilities listed above.
- Experience developing and implementing quality assurance programs is desired.
- Working knowledge of industry standards from organizations such as ASME, ANSI, AWS, API, ASTM, AWWA, AISC, ACI, NEC, and NFPA.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to easily interact with members of the company’s leadership team, client organizations, subcontractors, and team members.
- Able to multitask, work efficiently both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment, and learn and adapt quickly while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Desire to coach and mentor others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily an office environment with periodic visits to project sites.
