The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; and risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Primary Job Duties
- Adhere to the company’s Vision and Core Values.
- Adhere and comply with the company’s handbook and company policies.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles.
- Complete and communicate the status of work orders performed, changes, parts used, labor, and job status.
- Perform work specified on maintenance and repair with efficiency.
- Complete light mechanical work on equipment, trucks, and fleet vehicles (alternators, belts, starters, bearings, wheel seals, water pumps, exhaust, etc.)
- Change oil on trucks and cars.
- Grease trucks and trailers.
- Perform brake work on trucks and trailers.
- Perform A/C repairs on trucks and cars.
- Maintenance welding.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems on trucks and trailers.
- Review driver inspection forms and document repairs.
- Must be able to perform vehicle inspections required under Section 396.13 of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations and complete repairs.
- Ensure all service equipment (jacks, tools, trucks) works well and use equipment and materials properly.
- Observe safety and security procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions.
- Maintain the shop in a clean and uncluttered state.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Preference:
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate from a diesel tech program preferred.
- One year of manufacturing or vocational experience preferred.
- Five years of heavy truck maintenance experience preferred.
- Familiar with FMCSR requirements, maintenance, and repair for trucks and heavy equipment.
- Current Driver’s License required.
- CDL – Class A required.
- Current Medical Card required.
- Related industry certifications preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English required; ability to read work orders required.
- Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities and work with tight deadlines while exercising attention to detail required.
- Computer experience preferred.
- Provide own tools or company provided at employee cost required.
