Customs Clearance Coordinator

Job Summary :

The Customs Clearance Coordinator is responsible for customs related to the import and export of our goods, completing the necessary paperwork, ensuring smooth and efficient customs clearance processes, and ensuring compliance with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) guidelines.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee the entire process of importing and exporting goods minimizing delays
• Collaborate with Operations and Logistics Teams to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods.
• Provide necessary documentation to Logistics, monitor shipment status, and facilitate customs clearance process.
• Correctly classifying goods and submitting entries according to Harmonized Tarif (HTS) codes
• Determine duty rates, and ensure appropriate licenses and permits are obtained.
• Liaise with government agencies and customs authorities and other relevant parties to resolve any issues, provide necessary documentation, and ensure compliance with US customs.
• Maintaining an accurate and organized record keeping process for import / export activities ensuring all required documentation, such as invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations, are properly filed and archived.
• Knowledgeable with US Customs laws, regulations, and industry practices and stay informed about changes in trade agreements, tariff rates, customs procedures, and other relevant information that may impact import and export activities.
