What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gas Cut Operator position at MISA Metal Fabricating, Inc.?
Duties and Responsibilities
Daily activities will include, but are not limited to:
- Perform Preventative Maintenance for assigned equipment
- Proper set up of gas cutting machine
- Accurate interpretation of blue prints and customer specifications
- Selecting and loading programs and materials
- Insure that quality inspection criteria are being followed for all parts cut
- Insure accuracy of transactions
- Follow SWI, processes and procedures
- Support fellow team members to achieve company goal and objectives
- Complies with EHS requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of set up and operation of the gas cutting machinery
- Ability to visually inspect parts to identify any quality defects.
- Read blueprints and customer specifications
- Computer knowledge
- Mechanical aptitude
Credentials and Experience
- Training and experience on gas cutting equipment is preferred, may consider to train
- Completion of MMF Employee Training Checklist
Special Requirements
- Willingness to work a variety of shifts
- Overtime requirements
- Must be able to lift 45 lbs, requires standing for long periods and stooping, bending, stretching, twisting
- May be crane certified (Supervisor decision)
- Take/Pass Pre-Employment & Random Drug Test
- Authorize background check to verify information
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
