Misericordia's Human Resources department is looking for an Administrative Specialist to provide essential support to the HR department, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of HR processes. This role involves administrative tasks, employee support, and collaboration with team members to help achieve organizational goals.

Misericordia's Human Resources department is looking for an Administrative Specialist to provide essential support to the HR department, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of HR processes. This role involves administrative tasks, employee support, and collaboration with team members to help achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update employee records, both digital and physical, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and inquiries related to HR matters.
- Back up scheduler for recruitment and assist with oversight of recruitment swag.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, updates, and inquiries.
- Provide administrative support for employee performance evaluations and development plans.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and company regulations.
- Respond to unemployment claims and assist with coordination of pre-hearing meetings and documentation.
- Prepare reports related to employee data, attendance, and compliance as needed.
- Other support duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in HR or a related field (1 to 3 years).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HR software.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Additional Requirements:
- Familiarity with labor laws and basic HR practices is an advantage.
- Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus but not mandatory
