Our IT Department is currently hiring for an IT Project Manager.
The Project Manager (PM) will support and manage process and system changes at Misericordia. As different areas in the organization implement change, it is essential that this change process is managed. This role will take the lead in managing these changes through full life cycle of a project. This includes project conceptualization, proposal and approval, capturing requirements, tracking issues, tracking action item, following up on issues, capturing risks, working with vendors, project rollout, process documentation and ongoing support. Documentation and communication are key to this role so that all of the key stakeholders are informed and know what is required for success.
The Project Manager role will provide business analyst and project leadership organization wide. This will generally include a technology component but not in all cases. This role may be asked to support multiple implementations concurrently from the inception through all implementation phases. Once the tool/system is implemented the role will switch to a maintenance and support role and would likely not require full time support.
This role will report to the Information Technology department but there may be some projects with little or no IT involvement. This role with be a business role as well and a technology role.

Responsibilities
- Possess a working knowledge and belief of Misericordia mission, philosophy, purpose, and scope of service. In addition, possess an awareness of all policies and procedures concerning residents, families, and personnel.
- Ability to maintain open and effective communication with all departments. Ability to work with area leaders, external vendors and end users.
- Ability to plan, track and document various project information including requirements documentation, business rules, project milestones, issues, risks and action items. This role will be responsible for coordinating project activities. Keeping project stakeholders up to date is critical for this role.
- Work with technology solutions and be able to evaluate different product offerings. Help the organization determine which potential solution is best for the organization and best meets our current and long-term needs. Ensure the staff take full advantage of opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Delegate and manage project tasks. Have the ability to create projects plans including milestones, costs, estimated effort and dependencies.
- Implement key initiatives and system related projects across Misericordia
- This role will help Misericordia manage changes to processes and systems. They will need to be able to quickly understand processes and systems and manage projects to successful conclusion.
- In many cases, they will become proficient in the new systems and will likely retain some administration and support duties after the systems go into production.
- Plan for ongoing maintenance and support of new solutions and processes. Once a system is implemented, ensure support and troubleshooting for issues encountered by staff is available. Ensure software/solution upgrades are covered by a process to ensure Misericordia’s needs are met and staff can take full advantage of new features. Ensure new functionality and defect fixes are documented and processes updated accordingly.
- Knowledge of computer programs/software. Proficient with technology and software.
- Strong Project Management and implementation experience and skills
- 3 years’ experience in a business analyst and project manager.
- Comfortable learning new processes and systems.
