Director of Nursing

Job Summary: The primary purpose of the Director of Nursing is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Department in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations. You have the responsibility to ensure the quality of care meets or exceeds standards for all residents and that this quality of care is delivered consistently.
As our Director of Nursing, you will have the opportunity to help set this standard supporting not only our residents, but our nursing team as well. We are seeking a talented RN who values older adults to join and lead our team of compassionate care givers.
As the Director of Nursing your duties would include:
- Providing leadership to our RNs, LPNs & CNAs in a supportive manner that promotes growth.
- Providing clinical expertise in the management of our resident’s needs and overseeing the coordination of care for all residents.
- Providing direction to our RNs, LPNs & CNAs, by implementing new policies and procedures when necessary.
- Serving as the administrative authority for the smooth function of all units, including resident and family grievances. Communicating with families, residents and physicians as needed.
You will use your assessment skills, make decisions, and help the team to serve our residents.

Requirements:
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
- At least three years’ experience, as a DON, in a long-term care setting.
- Genuine concern for the needs of older adults.
- Strong customer service skills with both internal & external customers.
