What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analyst Market Settlements position at MISO?
Key Responsibilities : Perform daily-run activities to ensure timely and accurate market settlements.Execute weekly, monthly, and annual settlement tasks.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data issues and improve processes.Investigate and respond to participant inquiries via Microsoft Dynamics.Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing for settlement systems.Analyze complex datasets using SQL and other tools to drive insights and solutions.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FERC, NERC, and SOC1 controls.Communicate effectively across various levels of the organization, tailoring your message to the audience.What we are looking for...Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Energy industry experience is a plus.Proficiency in querying and analyzing large datasets from relational and non-relational systems (e.g., Oracle, Netezza, SQL Server, MongoDB).Hands-on experience with SQL, SQL-Plus, PL / SQL, and scripting languages.Advanced skills in Microsoft Office; experience with Dynamics and Azure is preferred.At MISO we offer a hybrid work environment and a comprehensive benefits package, including 401K available on your first day of employment.Appropriate level will be determined upon hire.MISO manages the electricity super highway in the Central U.S. Through use of groundbreaking research and advanced technology, our highly skilled employees ensure power flows reliably to 45 million Americans.
