What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology Service Technician position at Mission Bank?
An Information Technology Service Technician is responsible for various technical duties maintaining and improving the Bank's Information Technology environment. Performs activities related to Bank personal computers, servers, printers, switches, routers, phones, and other technology peripherals. Will be required to travel to various locations to perform job duties. Exact compensation is based upon the candidate’s individual experience level. Provides first level help desk support to end-users and escalates higher level tickets to the bank’s Managed Service Provider.
- Provides end-user support for technology issues and ensures they are completed within the previously agreed Service Level Agreements.
- Communicates and coordinates with users on required work orders and/or any other related duties.
- Configures, troubleshoots, and resolves issues related to workstations, network, telephone, and peripherals throughout the bank’s geography.
- Deploys workstations and other banking technology equipment.
- Plans, coordinates, and implements software and hardware changes on workstations, servers, routers, and switches in field locations and not in data center environments.
- Performs onsite deployment of new bank technology equipment including, servers, computers, routers, switches, ATMs, mobile devices, new applications, etc.
- Maintains inventory information for technology equipment within the Bank’s regions.
- Ensures the bank’s server equipment is maintained in a clean and functional manner.
- Evaluates new technology solutions to determine usefulness and compatibility with the bank’s strategic needs.
- Builds rapport with users and vendors while providing industry leading customer service.
- Provides accurate data for reporting to management.
- Responds to emergency outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Provides support for bank audits and examinations.
- Effectively manages risks related to the financial services industry.
- Provide support for major projects.
Target Compensation: $30.00/hr
Experience and Skills:

- Possesses knowledge of Information Technology (IT) and Information Security (IS) terminology and operations, or has participated in training, education, or experience equivalent to one year of experience in IT/IS.

- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and organizational/time management skills.
- Possesses entry level experience in problem diagnosis and resolution in hardware/software configuration and installation.
- Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage, if required, to drive while performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
- Successful completion of a background investigation and DMV validation.
- Able to lift equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Able to work additional hours, or rotating schedule, to complete the required assignments.
- Possesses strong interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated presentation skills.
- Able to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Able to travel to offices within the bank’s geographic footprint.
