Mission Bank is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to join our team! The Quality Control Specialist works directly with the front-line lending staff to ensure loan documentation requests are accurately constructed prior to being sent to Note Department for documentation. This posision ensures all loan documents are signed and all necessary information in file prior to requesting boarding. The Quality Control Specialist serves as the sole point of contact between lending staff and the Note Department to resolve any issues with documentation request packages and/or loan boarding requests. This role will be required to have or develop a deep understanding of both the loan origination and documentation processes.
Essential Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
- Primary Point of Contact: Post-loan approval serves as the sole point of contact between front line lending staff and the Note Department during the loan documentation and boarding process.
- Manages the transaction from post approval to delivery of loan documents: Reviews all documentation requests for accuracy and completeness prior to documentation requests being forwarded to Note Department. Works with front line to correct any errors and/or obtain missing information prior to forwarding package to Note Department for documentation.
- Manages the transaction from document signing to loan boarding: Reviews all boarding requests for accuracy and completeness prior to boarding requests being forwarded to Note Department. Works with front line to correct any errors and/or obtain any missing information prior to forwarding to Note Department for loan boarding.
- Troubleshooting: Researches and resolves any issues that are identified by the Note Department during the documentation or loan boarding process. Assumes responsibility for correcting any issues preventing accurate or complete loan documents from being created. Prioritizes correcting issues on behalf of the frontline lending staff whenever possible.
- Decision Making: Analyzes designated "errors" to determine if documentation process should be halted or whether corrections can be made concurrently while documentation is ongoing. Performs same function during loan boarding process. Identifies nature of issues and whether or not re-approval or other actions are necessary.
- Communication: Communicates updates to internal key stakeholders involved in the transaction proactively as necessary.
- Meeting deadlines: Ensures that only complete and accurate loan documentation requests are forwarded to the Note Department in order to meet inter-departmental service level agreements.
- Data Collection: Tracks all loan documentation and boarding requests for error rate, error type, and responsible parties for training purposes. Identifies themes and reports findings to designated individual(s) no less than once per month.
- Cross-Departmental: Work with users across multiple business units to make recommendations on suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities.
- Responsiveness: Prompt response and critical thinking skills.
- Other: All other duties as needed and assigned.
Experience and Skills:
Minimum Requirements:
- Project a businesslike professionalism to the client in both appearance and manner.
- Possess a strong customer service orientation, and a willingness to place the customer first.
- Possess strong written/verbal communication skills as well as excellent organizational/time management skills.
- Proficiency in data manipulation (Excel, Access or other related data manipulation tools).
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
- Good Customer Service Skills
Desired Requirements:
- Minimum three (3) years of commercial lending experience.
Target Salary: $83,352, depending on experience.
