What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Mission Beach House?
The Host is responsible for interacting with guests about our company, our products on the phone and in person, in a friendly and courteous manner while maintaining proper pacing and rotation of reservations and walk-ins in the dining room.
Main Responsibilities:
- Interact with guests according to expectations and company standards
- Follow Sequence of Service guidelines
- Possess knowledge of restaurant’s menu
- Answers the telephone within 3 rings or less and respond to guest inquiries
- Take reservations, confirm all reservations
- Assist other team members as necessary.
- Clean and maintain all menus, reports menu shortage and discrepancies
- Communicate with the team regarding special requests/needs of guests
- Complete side work on a daily and weekly basis in a thorough and consistent manner § Clean and maintain work area
- Complete additional tasks at the direction of the management team
- Follow all company policies as outlined in the company handbook

- Treat all guests in a positive and professional way, promoting our high quality of products and service
- Take all actions with the guest’s best interest in mind, so as to continue to build new business and to avoid guest complaints
- Follows all Host expectations as defined in the training portal at 100%
- Follows uniform standards outlined in the employee handbook
