Our client is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join their team on a full-time night shift. This role involves delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients, evaluating respiratory policies and procedures, and providing critical support during emergencies. The ideal candidate will have strong critical-thinking skills, the ability to thrive in a high-stress environment, and a professional demeanor when communicating with diverse individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Measure lung capacity and analyze blood samples using blood gas analyzers.
- Deliver and assess responses to therapy as ordered in the patient’s care plan.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.
- Respond to codes and provide emergent respiratory care treatments.
- Educate patients and families on illnesses, treatments, and community resources.
- Manage respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders, ensuring proper stock levels.
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain respiratory equipment, performing routine maintenance and calibration.
- Evaluate and update respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes and current best practices.
Must Haves:
- Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care License – Required
- Graduate of an accredited CRT or RRT program – Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire – Required
Nice Haves:
- Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care – Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field – Preferred
- Ability to manage stressful situations effectively.
- Strong communication skills with a professional and constructive approach.
- Demonstrated critical-thinking abilities in a clinical setting.
Location: Georgetown, Kentucky (KY)
Salary: $50,336 - $75,504
- Signing Bonus: $10,000 with conditions.
