Our client is seeking a Contracting Specialist / Procurement Desktop-Defense (PD2) System Administrator to support Department of Defense (DoD) contracting operations. This role requires expertise in DoD contracting processes and PD2 system administration. The ideal candidate will hold an active Top-Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and a CompTIA Security certification .
Responsibilities :
- Provide end-user support and training on DoD electronic business applications, including the Standard Procurement System (SPS) and related eBusiness applications.
- Manage network credentials and system access to ensure the functionality of the contracting infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to develop evaluations, analyses, and data-intensive reports critical for mission success.
- Respond to data calls and support all aspects of contracting operations in coordination with the COR.
- Notify the COR of contract modifications that may conflict with DPAP memorandums, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and SOCOM Acquisition Regulation Supplement (SOFARS) .
- Perform system administration tasks, including report writing, script execution, and troubleshooting.
- Act as the primary liaison with the SPS Helpdesk for issue escalation and resolution.
- Provide functional contracting guidance as required.
- Develop custom reports using Cognos , the SPS built-in report-writing tool.
- Monitor and resolve daily error logs and interface issues.
- Support software upgrades, Information Assurance (IA) vulnerability remediation, and software deployments .
