Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Charge Nurse / Nursing Supervisor to join their Emergency Department team in Mission Viejo, CA. This full-time position works 12-hour night shifts and offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled nursing professional to take on a leadership role, helping to guide patient care and operational excellence in a fast-paced emergency department. Responsibilities:
- Assist the department Manager in overseeing and directing clinical activities and personnel during assigned shifts to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Set work priorities, provide assessments, and plan and coordinate patient care in the emergency department.
- Regularly perform the duties of a Registered Nurse, providing direct patient care as needed.
- Serve as a resource and support for department staff in resolving operational and patient care issues.
- Collaborate with leadership to support marketing initiatives and community outreach efforts for the department.
- Foster a collaborative, patient-focused culture that prioritizes safety, quality, and compassionate care.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Active and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license upon hire.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- Minimum of 3 years of RN clinical experience in an acute care/hospital setting.
- Minimum of 2 years of dedicated RN experience in an emergency department within a hospital setting.
- At least 6 months of leadership experience in a hospital setting (Relief Charge or Charge RN experience).
- Ability to work rotational weekends and holidays as needed.
Nice to Haves:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- LPS training coursework or certification is a plus.
- Experience working with mental health and wellness patients.
- Strong communication, leadership, and critical-thinking skills.

Salary:
Base Salary: $141,200 - $223,100
Additional compensation may be available, including shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, extra shift incentives, and other premiums.
